BEAD SOUP CREATIONS

Sorry for posting a day late, but once again was in the hospital.  I was unable to originally post a pic of the soup I received because I was having problems with Chrome and my blog and was unable to access my blog. First, here is a pic of the soup I sent:

Here is a pic of the Soup I received.  (The turquoise necklace and anchor bracelet were freebies and not actually part of the soup.)

My partner's blog can be viewed here  http://www.tappingflamingo.blogspot.com/

I, unfortunately couldn't seem to come up with anything for the ribbons but I did make three items.

1) Using the purple beads, focal and very beautiful clasp along with some of my own beads, (I wanted to pick beads that complimented her beads but didn't not take away from them. I hope I succeeded.) This is what I created.
Necklace using purple beads, focal and clasp.

2)  I also made a bracelet using some of the flower beads she send along with some flat flower beads and leaves from my own stash.

3)  She sent a few paper beads she had made and was hoping I would try to use them.  I  really didn't know what kind of beads you would use with paper beads so I made a simple bracelet using a few seed beads as spacers.  (the paper beads  are really very cute!)  Nice work Terry!

I hope everyone like the items I created.

ROSE BRACELET

Well, I went bead shopping the other day and I found these great hand painted, ceramic, large-hole beads.  I liked them so much, I bought 2 strands of them.  I didn't really know what I was going to do with them but when I got home and looked through my beads I saw some purple agate beads I had bought months before and  voila!  This bracelet was born.

Ceramic Rose Bracelet with Earrings

About 7 or 8 months ago, my mom had given me a box of old jewelry, beads, etc.  In that mess of stuff I found two round beads that had almost the same design so, matching it earrings too!

The ceramic beads give the bracelet just enough weight to keeps its shape and not flop around.

Now, to decide what to do with the other strand.  I think, since they are large-hole beads, I may do something with chain. But, no vision as of yet.

Slave Bracelets

Made two new slave bracelets.  (The hand equivalent to the barefoot sandal).

My son was my hand model for these pictures and wasn't too happy about it and didn't want to hold still or cooperate, lol.  So, until I get a better hand model, these are the best pics I have.

This first one was made on stretch cord with clear seed beads with pink centers and deep pink, almost purple glass pearl type beads.

Black Crystal Bangle

Before I start talking about the Black Crystal Bangle, I wanted to let everyone know that I have finally created a fanpage on Facebook for my store.  It can be found here:  Nutkitten's Handcrafted Jewelry on Facebook.  Since I just started the page, I can use all the "likes" I can get.  I hope everyone will help me out with this...........now to the bracelet.......

It is another bangle type bracelet.  This bracelet is the sturdiest of this type of bracelet I have made to date.  I used 20g round craft wire since almost all of the wire is covered by beads.  It is very durable.

This bracelet has a large black faceted crystal focal, black rondelle crystals, black bi-cone crystals, clear rondelle crystals, and clear flower beads.  I made a swan-type clasp for this bracelet with 20g silver wire.

This bracelet is available at my store, Nutkitten's Handcrafted Jewelry.

These were made with some glass flower beads and some dark pink pearl type glass beads.  I have another set I made awhile back in green.
Spring Garden Set in Green
I really like the first set so when I found got the clear flower beads, I decided I liked the way they looked with the deep pink color so I made another set.

Both sets are available at my store;  Nutkitten's Handcrafted Jewelry

Two More Bangle Bracelets

Well, I thought I would try a couple more bangle type bracelets.  If you remember the first one, the Crytstal Cuff,
Crystal Cuff
These two are a couple different versions.

First is the Silver Rose Bracelet.  Made with 22g Square silver wire, silver beads and black (AB) crystals and this time I made a swan clasp.

This next one was made with 22g gold wire, clear, green-lined bi-cone crystals, green bi-cone crystals and gold spacer beads.  Once again, with this one I used a swan clasp.

Wire Bangle Bracelets

I decided it was time to work on some bracelets.  Here are the results.  I really like both of them, however, one is not going to make it into the store as the design needs some major work.  The other one, I really like it so will be adding it to my store however, it is very, very delicate.

Crystal Cuff

Crystal Cuff

Crystal Cuff
This bracelet has Swarovski bi-cone crystals, some beautiful gold and rhinestone beads I found (at Wal-Mart no less), two gold spacer beads and 21g square wire that I twisted.

At the moment, the largest gauge square wire I have is 21g.  So, I am going to order some larger gauge square wire (prob. 18g - maybe 16g) and make this bracelet using the larger gauge wire.  Twisting the wire work hardens it quite a bit, but even still, the 21g is very delicate.  This bracelet is definitely wearable and looks nice, but is for those who prefer the dainty look and can wear delicate jewelry. (Women wrestlers may want to wait for the 18g version, lol).  I am also working on another version of this bracelet which should be complete probably by morning.  As I don't duplicate my jewelry (at least not exact duplicates) the next bracelets will,  of course, have a different bead and/or color scheme.

This next wire bangle will not be added to my store as it needs some work.  (I am wearing it but, not going to sell it as is).

Tri-colored Bangle

You can probably tell where the work is needed.  As I pictured the design in my head, the place where the two ends of the bangle meet were suppose to cross over each other in a "NEAT" fashion.  That didn't quite happen, lol.  So, I havent decided if I am going to attempt the same "cross over" style again or if I am going to come up with some sort of design to finish it off.  Until then.........got the brain a workin', lol.

This bangle was made using 21g square gold wire (twisted), 21g copper wire, 21g silver wire (twisted) and 22g gold round wire for the wraps.

Well, until we meet again, lol........The "CRYSTAL CUFF" will be available at my store,

I added a search feature to my site so, for those of you having trouble finding a specific item, you can now search from my home page using either the name of the item, i.e. crystal cuff, or a general search, i.e. bracelet, bangle, cuff, etc.

Luv You All!!!

Citrus

Have a new necklace and bracelet.  By accident, they both are on a citrus theme.  The Twist of Lime necklace and the Orange Grove bracelet.  I also completed a necklace this morning called the Lemon Drop necklace, lol. I don't have pics of that one yet, so that will have to wait.

The Twist of Lime necklace consists of three strands, twisted of course, in shades of green.  It  has green, silver streaked, glass beads, round and rondelle crystals and seed beads, all in shades of green.

The Orange Grove bracelet has some glass beads with hand painted orange flowers, orange rondelle spacer beads, orange barrel beads and green bi-cone crystals with a copper lobster claw clasp.

New Bracelet and Jewelry Set

This bracelet is one of my favorites so far.  It's a bit heavy but not TOO heavy.  It is made with Millefiori barbell beads. chain and some charms, a red glass bead leaf, a Mother of Pearl disk bead and a house charm.

Blue Horizon

For some reason, I don't get too many ideas for bracelets, so bracelets are what I have the least of.  Today, however, I had a design pop into my head and here it is, I call it Blue Horizon.

It was created using 3 hole spacer tube beads, blue and silver cathedral beads, blue rectangular and oval beads and round silver beads.

3 New Handcrafted Jewelry Items

Here are my latest Handcrafted Jewelry Items:

The first one is a necklace I call Amethyst In Pearl.  It is made from Amethyst drops, light violet pearls and Amethyst crystals.  Had to redo this one 3 times because I kept getting the ends crimped a little too tight and the drops wouldn't lie flat.  I almost gave up on it!  It was definitely getting frustrating.

This next necklace I call Chocolate Persuasion.  I guess because the faceted beads remind me of Chocolate candies, lol.  This necklace is handcrafted using chocolate colored faceted beads and window beads with swirls of chocolate brown, yellow and orange.

And, last but not least is a bracelet.  This might be a little colorful for some, but was having a hard time finding a place for these Mother of Pearl beads.  This handcrafted bracelet has green Mother of Pearl beads and yellow Mother of Pearl coin beads along with glass tube beads.

And, there we have it!
